IEP and transportation nightmare
My son has had an IEP since first grade, he was behind accademically, needed some speech help and ADHP they immediatelly suggested ritalin. So he has had to be bused for 2 years to a school that provides a SDC class and the bus ride is long, the bus drivers are all idiots and complain about my son I get a citation sent home every day. The other kids on the bus all have a special need of one or the other. So we move just outside of the school boundry and submit an inter-district transfer, it gets approved. Everything contines for 4 or 5 months untill 3 weeks ago, we get a letter saying that because you are an inter district transfer, you are no loger entitled to bus transportation, and sucks to be you! So I pull my son out of that current school, and put him in a new school in our district. I hope the nightmare is over!
