- Hello. My name is Anna Emert. I teach part-time at Pellissippi. I have a senior and a freshman at KHS. I host for free www.KarnsCommunity.com (community directory).
I have had many dealings with the Karns Schools and I have to tell you that for the most part it has been positive. Simply because we have great people in the Karns schools.
Our family suffered a bad time in 2005 when our children were on a school bus that crashed. My son was hurt the worst and now as a Senior he is still not completely healed. I am a advocate for safer buses, better driver training, and of course first and foremost CHILD SAFETY.

School crowding...
I am looking forward to the Hardin Valley school. Crowded cafeterias, buses and parking lots take their toll on child safety. I have seen children standing up on a school bus as it came from the High School. That was early last year but I bet it is still happening. It is not against the rules. School web site read "not recommended" but does not prohibit. This is only against the rules on a field trip. Scary.
