Wow, seems were barking up the wrong road, if kids are doing so great on their ACT then why are we in the bottom of the pit in eduation?

It's not the average. Keep in mind Tennessee scored a 37 in the Nation for ACT scores?
See we don't have the money for this in the first place. What we need is an External Audit and some type of major reform!

Thats right Granma, but if you want to get a high ACT score it will cost you. I don't know a whole bunch of students who get over a 21 on their first try. The majority get between 18-20.
Well I do agree with you there. I mean come on....if this is the RIGHT thing to do then do it for all, if in doubt, to try to fix something that isn't broken! Parents should have the right to ask for a transfer, or can they already?
You took the words right out of my mouth! Wasted dollars on something we already know. Now I do think a survey should be done to see if the students think they are being listening to or heard by their teachers....I have read that many students don...
That is so true, did I fail to mention that my daughter has an IEP while in the IB program due to her disability.
I do hope your daughter does well on her test!
That is why education is so critical. To rely on a test is not the brightest idea for our students, but instead I believe it's raising their GPA score, by raising the bar on education.

My daughter works 2 jobs while in the IB program holding an A. She has been accepted by every college in Texas that she has applied for which are many, one being Texas A&M with a ACT score of 18. She told me today, that colleges weren't interested...
Vic, Just got news, a ACT score, lets say 18... is an Automatic IN to any college if your in the IB league. Colleges are looking to more of what classes you took while in school then the ACT and outside programs you are in.
