- About Me:
- Our family moved to Knoxville in 2004 shortly after our daughter Eva was born. She is now 3 years old. My wish is for Eva - and all the children in Knox County - to have access to an excellent public school education, just as I did growing up in the fine city of East Lansing, Michigan.
Before moving to Knoxville I taught 8th grade science and math in the Boston Public Schools and also worked as educational coordinator for a nonprofit tutoring program. My experience as a teacher and tutor greatly informs my interest in education and education reform.
I am a graduate of Harvard College (A.B. `96) and the Harvard Graduate School of Education (Ed.M. `01). My husband loves his work as a research historian at the University of Tennessee.
