- I am married and have two amazing children. My stepdaughter Brittany is 11 and is now attending Powell Middle School, and my son Turner is 2. My wife Bridget is an 11 yr employee of St. Mary's Hospital and I am a juvenile probation officer at the Knox County Juvenile Court. I am currently running a campaign to become the next County Commissioner in the 6th district.

Hello all,
I know this doesn't have much to do with schools, or maybe it does, but I have a problem. Me and my son Turner were at the Powell Station Park last week enjoying the sun and the water fun fountains when all of a sudden a Knox County Sheriff's pickup truck pulls into the park. The truck parks about 40 or 50 yards away and four plain clothed prisoners get out of the back and begin to approach the park. Also, I note that none of our Powell schools is listed any longer in the phone book we get through Frontier Communications. FYI, the middle school is 938-9008, the high school is 938-2171, and the elementary school is 938-2048.

Sometimes, it seems that our commissioner's attitudes and ideas about our schools are actually more important than those of our school board members!
