Tennessee Alliance for Early Education Day on the Hill - Wednesday, Feb. 27

R.S.V.P. deadline: Feb. 15* On Wednesday, Feb. 27, the Tennessee Alliance for Early Education, in partnership with United Ways of Middle Tennessee, will hold its Day on the Hill for the 2008 legislative session. Members of the Alliance will convene at the state Capitol to encourage legislative support for expanding Tennessee's high-quality pre-K program. This is an important event, and we need your help!

When: Wednesday, Feb. 27

8 a.m. to 2 p.m. (lunch will be provided)

Where:
Capitol Hill
Nashville, Tenn.

Activities will include:

• Attending a Senate Education Committee hearing to demonstrate the widespread support of pre-K (TAEE will provide lapel stickers).

• Citizen advocacy training

• Meetings with legislators

• Networking with fellow early education advocates

for additional information from Mary Graham regarding United Way-specific activities. We look forward to seeing you on Feb. 27!
