Thanks Grant for the clarification. Do I need to change my registration request to attend this session?

Hi folks. I'm on the planning team for the 2008 Neighborhood Conference. As far as schools being discussed at the conference, there is no doubt that it will be an important topic in both the Neighborhood Revitalization & Redevelopment workshop and the facilitated panel discussion at lunch. While we do not have specific individuals from the Knox County Schools on the panels, there will be some elected officials and representatives at most workshops. This year's conference committee didn't talk about hosting a "Neighborhood Schools" workshop, but perhaps we can engage Knox County Schools more closely in future conferences to develop one. Hope this answers your question, and if anyone needs any additional information, please contact me at grant.rosenberg@knoxcounty.org or at 215-4751. Thanks!

It's a good conference. Lots of nuts and bolts of how to solve problems. This time I'm especially interested in the neighborhood redevelopment workshop. Will they talk about schools? Good schools and good facilities are important to neighborhood vitality and property values--As we all know, schools are the magnet for where families choose to live and buy homes. It's easy to overlook because planners and developers don't have strong professional ties to school folks.
